Linda Weil is a professional artist with over 30 years of experience in various drawing mediums. She holds a Diploma of Arts in Graphic Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne.
Her early career focused on design and illustration for print media at The Age Magazines and Pacific Publications magazines. As Art Director and Illustrator, her delightful botanical art and nature studies were an editorial feature in Your Garden Magazine, published in Australia.
Her work also appeared regularly in Australasian Post, Home Beautiful and New Idea magazines. Linda began exhibiting in early 2000 and soon gained recognition and awards for her beautifully detailed and innovative drawings of wildlife and nature.
She is past Secretary of Wildlife Art Society of Australasia, is a current member of various art societies and a founding member of the Wildlife Art Museum of Australia. In 2005 the international art book published, Walter Foster, commissioned Linda to write and illustrate Drawing Lifelike Animals (2008) as part of their ‘Drawing Made Easy’ series. Drawing commissions followed from Derwent Pencils, and these works feature on many of their current pencil products.
