WAMA is now recruiting for an Operations Co-ordinator with the responsibility to deliver and implement the operations component of the gallery, ready for opening.
WAMA is seeking the services of an experienced commercial business operator preferably with art gallery/creative industries experience or similar, to scope, develop and progress WAMA’s operational requirements.
Executive Director and Company Secretary Ange Turrell, responsible for the recruitment process says, “This is a great opportunity for someone to create WAMA’s operational set-up and processes. It’s rare that an individual or an organisation gets the opportunity to do this from scratch, learn from other organisations and choose the best practices to implement for WAMA“.
The role focuses on ensuring WAMA’s integrated experiences, strategic programs and operational needs are prioritised and developed as much as possible to hand over ready for launch, once gallery management staff come on board.
It is anticipated the role will be for a 6-to-8-month period, starting mid 2023, with a hand over to the Gallery Director and Operations Manager (yet to be appointed), in early 2024. There is potential for the Operations Co-ordinator to step into the role of Operations Manager, to be determined at the discretion of the Board.
