We are honoured to host “An Intimate Immersion in the Art & Nature of John Wolseley” with the artist himself, one of Australia’s most important and acclaimed nature inspired artists.
For over four decades, John’s profound connection to the Australian wilderness has delivered an array of works, merging his expertise in drawing, printmaking, installation, and watercolour. His immersive journey has woven a legacy surrounding the sensitive beauty of ecosystems of our unique Australian landscape.
Embark on a captivating journey with an exclusive guided tour of John’s exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery.
Then transport yourself for a 20-minute drive to John’s private Studio nestled within the enchanting Whipstick forest, a mere 17 kilometres north of Bendigo.
Explore John’s studio at your own pace and join him for a personal tour of his captivating artworks.
Savour the music of Frances Thiele and her harp as it accompanies you throughout the day, and be captivated by a demonstration of Woodcut printing.
Enjoy lunch upon arrival to the studio, and then a delightful selection of treats and coffee before departing.
John’s works will be available to purchase.

Rabbits have continued to be problematic at the WAMA site with a growing number of rabbit warrens and rabbits within the vermin proof fence having a negative impact on the regeneration of the native grasslands and bushlands area.
WAMA is pleased to announce the appointment of Case Meallin, to undertake the project management of the construction of WAMA Stage 1
The Grampians/Gariwerd Endemic Garden is something that you really should come and see; small shrubs and plants are taking shape for the beginning of this new and exciting regional botanic garden.
Recently WAMA held a number of fundraising events thanking donors and spreading the word about the wonderful contribution WAMA will bring to the Grampians as a tourist attraction, and a cultural experience that celebrates the synergy between art and nature.
WAMA is honoured to be able to do what we love within a unique and cultural landscape cared for by the First Nations’ peoples.
