Tower of Song is about imposters. Another way of saying it would be introduced species.
Here we have a cat, it’s dominant over birds, but they tower up, showing strength in numbers. But still, it is precarious as the cat has them encapsulated. They are both in the cat and working against the cat. The cat has disrupted the ecosystem.

The artwork colour changes as you move around it. Sometimes the cats’ eyes turn a luminous green before disappearing back into the plainness of the paper. The remaining surface seems alive as it changes from a bright but sooty pink to its silvery cream. Depending on where you stand, or how tall you are, you will see it differently.
