ENRICHING THE GRAMPIANS EXPERIENCE
There is no world class arts and cultural experience that showcases Australia’s deep connection with our unique flora and fauna in the region or indeed in Australia.
Delivery of the WAMA Project will positively impact:
- Regional and Victorian economy
- Visitor economy, domestic and international
- Cultural and social capital
The WAMA Foundation is seeking an investment of $10M funding from State Government for construction of a $24M world class gallery and fully landscaped botanical gardens in the Halls Gap region. Pre-establishment operating costs will be $3.4M. WAMA will be self funding once operational.
WAMA is a not for profit organisation.
DELIVERING SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC RETURN
Independent analysis shows that through construction, operations, attracting new tourism and volunteerism, WAMA would create economic benefits many times the amount sought for construction costs from Government.
A $10M State Government investment will result in A BCR OF 3.74, $62M NPV and economic benefits of $135M over 10 years.
