Even though I am somewhat anxious around spiders, I was so pleased to hear of the discovery of the Grampians own species of Zephyrarchaea, the Zephyrarchaea grayi. So small, unique and fiercely private, a spider that will not spoil a nights sleep under the canopy offered by the Grampians forest. The vulnerability of the campers, while secure in sleep as the natural environment works around this human intrusion.

I have hoped to reflect in this work an unlikely peace between the human and all her colourful trappings in a sleeping state while a very much awake natural world is quietly going about its own business, unaffected.
