Botanic Gardens Day

Botanic Gardens
Botanic Gardens Day brings awareness to the vital work the botanic gardens network do for plant conservation.

To celebrate, WAMA is opening the Grampians/Gariwerd Endemic Botanic Gardens to the public.

More than a third of Victoria’s native species are found in the Grampians – with many of those only growing there. It’s a vital essential biodiversity hotspot.

Created in 2022, WAMA’s endemic gardens display the majority of the 70 plant species that only grow within the Grampians region.

The day will include:

  • Guided garden walks
  • Garden talks
  • Demonstrations
  • Nature play activities for kids
  • Information on the WAMA precinct development and garden landscaping plans.
  •

Date:  Sunday 26th May

Time:  11.00am – 3.00pm

Venue:  Corner of Neal Road and Ararat-Halls Gap Road, Halls Gap

FREE ENTRY
